Things you might need to know to decide if this is the right trip for you.
-
You will need to provide a negative covid test to enter Guatemala
-
You will need to take a covid test at the airport to return to the United Sates. If your not comfortable taking a test at the airport the resort center can help set up a private clinic test. This would be at your own cost.
-
Make sure your passport doesn't expire for 6 months
-
The drive from the airport to the resort is a minimum of 3 hours and we have been advised that it could take 5 depending on traffic.
-
We also will be taking a boat to get to the resort so if you get sea sick you might want to take dramamine once on your first flight so it is in you system.
-
When packing please pack only one bag plus your carry on. Space will be limited and we cannot promise a secondary checked luggage will fit into our transport shuttle. You might have to have your carry on sit on your lap so a purse or backpack would be ideal for your secondary luggage.

You can review the retreat terms and cancellation policy here

A non-refundable $250 deposit is required to reserve your space. Final balance is due by January 20th, 2022. We can arrange a payment plan to assist if you would like.

KELLI WEFENSTETTE

Kelli Wefenstette came to yoga seeking movement post-college after a childhood of dance and acrobats. In addition, she quickly found relief from a lifetime of anxiety, substantial grief, and the pain of chronic illness. Yoga brought her safely home to her body as her magic and her medicine for living abundantly and unapologetically. Yoga is her freedom journey towards a life of awakening, authenticity, and adventure.
Her teaching style focuses on curious movement, alignment, somatics, and exploration of body mechanics combined with mindfulness and emotional regulation for an empowered, embodied experience on and off the mat.
Kelli earned her BA in Psychology and Religious Studies from Monmouth College and a MA in Social Justice and Community Development from Loyola University Chicago. She has completed nearly 1,000 hours of teacher training in Hatha Yoga and Elemental Yoga as well as prenatal yoga, Ayurveda, Traditional Chinese medicine, and Thai Yoga Massage. She’s currently enrolled in a psych-sensitive, trauma-informed yoga teacher teaching.
Kelli is also a Community Organizer trained in Asset-Based Community Development. Formerly a non-profit director, she owns Wildlight Yoga in Chicago.

Arielle Schmidt is a Thai Yoga Therapist and yoga teacher in Cincinnati, Ohio who uses the whole person to treat the whole person. She fell in love with yoga during her time at South Dakota State University where she graduated with a Bachelor’s in Health, Physical Education and Recreation.
She leaned on my practice to keep positive and balanced while working as a corrections officer in a county jail and realized the importance of how yoga was able to keep her true to the person I wanted to be.
Arielle is a certified group exercise instructor through Athletics and Fitness Association of America (AFAA) and a 500hr Elemental Yoga Instructor having trained with the Cincinnati Yoga School in India and Bali. She received her SomaVeda® Thai Yoga Therapy Practitioner Certification in Costa Rica and continued her education at the SomaVeda® Thai Yoga Center in Brooksville, Florida. Additionally, she has completed Traditional Chinese Medicine training with Jo Phee in Brussels.
After traveling to India in 2017, she felt the transformational spark to achieve her dream of a private studio. She opened Tranquility Rising that year before leaving her job in corrections to pursue her passion full time
